Owners in Galloway" or as early as 1700 BC according to O'Hart in "Irish Pedigrees". From Maclysaght's "Some Irish Familes"
the McCalls are a Cenel Eogahin sept descended from Niall of the Nine Hostages( Cathal Mor). McCalls as MacCathail of Hy live
in Connacht. Many McCalls still live in County Armagh
The McCall surname has many spellings including M'Coull,MCall,MCaul,Mccal,Mccaul
McCil,McColl, McColl McCoull McCuall,McCuail,McCuaul,McCul MacCall, Macaul,MacCaul, MacColl,MacCool MacCoull,Megaw? and in
France Lacel and about two hundred other spellings
Clan McCall had a good time at Grandfather Mountain Highland Games
and Goshen Highland Games.
